No, that would be Obama. He is the one trying to get us into Syria, Libya, and Iran.

How is Romney going to that trick when he has to act like Bush?

There was one other thing going on at the time that Romney’s talking about.
Higher taxes.
But Emperor Grover the First would never allow THAT.
If Bush/Cheney had continued the Clinton/Gingrich budget plans we would have eliminated the deficit by now. But no, “You know, Paul, Reagan proved deficits don’t matter.”

Sounds like the Clinton years, then GW Bush stole an election & ran up the deficits to the Heavens & no way to pay for his war on Iraq. Then gas prices spiked after our invasion & Romney thinks he’s the answer ?

Romney has given detailed plans. He plans to slash everyone’s income tax and thereby balance the budget with enough left over so he can pay for an Iranian regime change and still have a big budget surplus. Plus, as soon as Obama is gone, he plans for everyone who is currently unemployed to immediately get off their duffs and go back to work at a much higher wage than they had before the crash. He plans for every undocumented immigrant to self-deport. What more could any voter ask for?

"Without Congress declaring war or authorizing the use of force. "
He’s not legally required to.

At first I thought Gary was referring to the Clinton Administration, but gas was around 99¢ per gallon back then.

Well let’s see. During Eisenhower the rate was at 4 percent and he had balanced budgets, though not in the same year. Whereas no president since then has had a balanced budget. While Clinton and the republican congress came close if you look at the national debt you will see it goes up every year that Clinton is in office. That cannot happen if the budget is truly balanced. It is just an accounting trick to say those were balanced budgets. If the country were running a true balanced budget it would have to include paying for ALL payments and interest on the debt for that year so the overall national debt at least stays the same. Has not happened

Are you guys ever going to give this a rest? Even the liberal media, after conducting an extensive investigation in Florida, has conceded (although buried in their publications) that GWB did indeed win Florida and the SC decision was therefore correct but mute.

We still do not know where we will end up if we continue forward on Obama’s plan and he won’t tell us. He just says that if Romney gets in we’ll go back.

Tax cuts won’t do it!
Quipss said, 9 months ago
Every candidate of every party on earth has been pro economy, heck even in communist countries they government has promised growth, its universal to want growth. Discrepency in what causes growth is the question is it
. Consumer based
. tax based
. servise based
Can the government create demand and thus create a posetive feed loop
will buisnesses decide to increse staff if their taxes are cut or do they already have enough people
Can the government mandate production / hiring
Can infastructure which would increse the debt be used as an ultimate stimulus package.
Sort of like
" I will balance old age security for the future" you can
a. increse taxes
b. cut the program
c. mandate that anyone above 65 be shot.
and so forth
There is always a large margin on such brood statements.
As much as it is nice to hear how our politicans agree with statements that are utterly agreeable it shows no credibility to being able to actually get things done
