Too many Americans think the word does not need a capital letter but needs an apostrophe. Twice.

Mexican food seems to take more than its share of these jokes. What about hot BBQ, any strongly flavored food, or lots of raw veggies. And hello asparagus!

What difference does it make, it’s just the fifth of May, not significant in the US apart from that. The mexicans lost a lot of sympathy with their forcing American kids to not wear an American flag on May fifth. Just one question for those in this country who think mexico is so great. Why, then, are you here rather than there?

My country is better than yours, neener neener.

    Will people never grow up???

Stella S: Cinco de Mayo. I was taught in elementary school English that noun and adjective must agree in number and gender (even though the latter is generally moot in English). It applies more so in languages in which everything has gender..

Differences in countries are instructive at times. In the US, if you walk into a hole in a parking lot, you’ll sue. In Mexico, you’ll get laughed at for not watching where you’re going.

    .
Indeed. Now, objecting to the wearing of a French flag… that I could understand.
