I like my sweaters, but the wife says they fit me like bags. Big whoop, I think they are comfortable. Fashion statements I made 40 years ago.

I love to wear sweaters. I get cold easily and they go a long way toward hiding any bodily flaws. lol

I’m the opposite. A room temperature anywhere over 68 degrees makes me feel like I’m baking. You’d have to pay me to wear a sweater!

I do love sweaters, but have the same issue with room temp.

I’m trying to imagine how/why this girl’s disliking sweaters ever came up in a conversation with the school janitor. I know, kids say the darndest things …

Tell me you never heard or saw outlandish sweaters most would find uncomfortable to wear because of their oh so loud gaudiness?

That’s not what the strip says, Gaunt. Frazz is recalling a prior conversation in which the girl says she dislikes sweaters of any kind, period.

She probably complained to him about them at one point.

I guess Frazz could one day have spotted her outside when it was cold and she was wearing a T shirt. So he says, “Why aren’t you wearing a sweater?” And she replies that she hates them.

My opinion: This is another great punchline with a wobbly set-up. For the joke to work, a rather unusual conversation has to have happened beforehand, and be remembered by Frazz It certainly is Mallett-esque.

There are sweaters and then there are sweaters. You don’t want the ones made of acrylic because they won’t breathe. Acrylic sweaters are worthless even if they look great in the store. You want one made of all wool. They will keep you warm in the cold and you can still be comfortable when you walk into an overheated room because they will breath.

That looks like some sort of an antelope t-shirt Frazz is wearing.

There are good sweaters and naughty sweaters, I find. Good: flattering, comfortable, goes with everything.

Naughty: has none of those qualities. I got one that was only flattering above my ribcage once. So, nice chest with a linebacker’s waste…epic fail.

I understand that period. She is wearing it but knows she will soon out grow it. (She’s at that age.) Just means she satisfied her family member and the pain of wearing it will be over. Tills the next one. Period.
