re: Goldenroya
hehe. Didn’t Snoopy always write something similar?
Maybe I should start a book with “it was a dark and stormy night” just to needle the writing establishment.

Maybe she could write the essay about the portrayal of macbeth in tv shows. For example, in Star Trek’s The Conscience of the King, a mass murderer was hiding out in a theater company. Just “happened” to be playing macbeth then…

Not if the lamp wasn’t on before. Maybe she’s using an overhead light.

Since there is no way to know how much time passed between panels she might have turned the desk lamp off (if it was ever on, as you say may have been the case) wait for it to cool before she unscrewed it.

Just write a lot of b.s. about Banquo’s ghost. Teachers LOVE stuff about Banquo’s ghost.

When I took a class on Shakespeare, our final project was to write about whether Hamlet and Othello would end up in heaven or hell, and I did it as a script with them standing trial, along with everyone else who’d died in the plays, in front of Hades, and I had fun writing it.

Those squirrelly curlicue CFLs aren’t the brightest bulbs in the drawer. Neither are they a good idea.
