    I’m with Mike. Plus, you should get a gift for each year you have lived. I missed out on 52 gifts last year.

    when my son was 6 he had a party and as soon as all his little friends got there and the presents were on a table, he got mad because they were going to stay and play, he wanted them to just bring a present and go home…..thank goodness he grew out of that.

    yes teaching kids that gifts aren’t everything is hard They live in a world of instant gratification.

    The only birthday party I ever had as a child was when I was only 2. This is before Mom married the Monster who thought birthday parties for children is a waste of time except for his daughter, “The Princess.”
