The first thing that they need to buy with Elly’s new salary is a new coffee table.

John just seems shocked that Elly knows how to Table Dance.

If she’s tap dancing, she might be in need of a pedicure!

John looks like a deer in headlights. Perhaps he’s thinking about how the housework should be split 50/50 now.

I hope she doesn’t get fired for reading on the job.

John looks a little nervous. Why is that i wonder?
Ellie being less under his control if she has her own income?
Aw, that’s just being paranoid, right?

If Elly is this happy to be out of the house…. away from her family….what does THAT say about her? Her glee seems to be misplaced.

wouldn’t it be great if everyone that went to work was happy to be going? They are not gone forever you know. She’ll be home later to spend time with them. sheesh

If you had spent the last 7 or 8 years with your only human contact being small children and a few adults, you would be glad to get away from that for a short period too. Stay-at-home Moms have my respect and admiration, but we cannot condemn them if they decide to work outside the home. It is her life and her choice, and we have no right to judge.

If john’s like most of my relatives, he’s already doing most of the housework despite his job.

the two are well-paired in that respect. Maybe that’s why they “stayed together” rather than inflicting themselves on others.
