Now is the time to nominate Endtown for an 2014 Eisner award, in the category of Best Digital Comic.
    To quote:

“The best digital comic category is open to any new, professionally produced long-form original comics work posted online in 2013. Webcomics must have a unique domain name or be part of a larger comics community to be considered. The work must be online-exclusive for a significant period prior to being collected in print form. The URL and any necessary access information should be emailed to Eisner Awards administrator Jackie Estrada: jackie@comic-con.org.”

Now, the Eisner winners are determined by a small, select panel of judges who are respected in the field. The decision is made on the work’s quality, which means essentially that the winner will be the best comic, not just the one with the widest circulation. Myself, I truly believe Endtown is of such quality in art, writing, concept and body of work that it could rank as one of the best web comics, if not the best. I truly believe Aaron Neathery’s Endtown can win an Eisner.

Please note that Best Digital Comic applies to long-form stories and not just individual daily strips. I do not intend Doc Rat to be nominated, even though it does contain a certain number of long-form stories in amongst the individual strips. Endtown has a greater chance of winning, and I do not want to distract the vote.

Nominations are open now, and they close on March 17th. Now is the time for as many fans as possible to e-mail Jackie Estrada (jackie@comic-con.org) and explain why Endtown should be considered worthy of being on the short list for this award. 2014 is the year for Endtown to break very, very big.

Dang, it’s those bothersome “super suits” again.

And this is what happened when Wally first tried tying up Topsiders (and ultimately resulted in Leo’s getting dusted). Hopefully, he will know better next time.

Nah, that’ll just make them angry. You wouldn’t like them when they’re angry.

    @Three Steps Over Japan

Hopefully they don’t have any green paint sprayers hidden in those suits.

One wonders how long those suits will function without maintenance, refueling, etc.

It might be interesting if these two are survivors of New Albion who aren’t carriers like Albert, but reverted (partially) back to human form.

That would alienate them from both mutants and Topsiders, except for those who would like to study them to find a way to overcome the Amesworth radiation..

They would probably have to disguise themselves as fellow Topsiders, who would probably either destroy or vivisect them after discovery. Their best hope would be to find open-minded mutants.

    Two things first:

Sarah appears to still be bound.

Male was bound with wrists high and in back. I’ve heard that is quite painful, and it takes a few minutes to use the arms well again. Perhaps Veteran has some insight as to why some prisoners are restrained that way. I wouldn’t know, but I’ve heard things.

Please Vote. I have found a special treat tangentially related to Endtown.

    Vote ENDTOWN

    Vote Doc Rat

    Vote Hubris

    Vote Kevin and Kell

Now the treat I promised. A month ago The Life I Draw Upon made a comment that stuck with me, so I would like to share a small treat with the Endtown Fambly.

    Valentina and Hilary

Oh, Hilary Hahn commissioned Brooke McEldowney to do concert art, and Valentina is my favorite Bösendorfer, and therefore piano, artist. Both merit a few listenings.

    The ropes have burst asunder
    Accompanied by dust
    It really makes us wonder
    This visit’s now a bust

    We heard their little chatter
    Not “murderous” precisely
But now it might not matter
If they don’t hold still nicely

    Our pair were losing traction
    But this commotion beckons
    They’re shocked into inaction
    That won’t last many seconds

    =|====/ Level Head
    Vote for Endtown 2.0
    And for Doc Rat, too

Maybe this will do until I re-find the piece I wanted to post:
    Valentina and Hilary play Bartok

Ok you can shoot at them now. But as they seem to be a major plot hook. Try not to kill them too much.
