One problem: the rat’s would never have a chance to reload like they apparently have here. So, only one clip of at most 50, assuming they are small bullets.
    .
Sort of like one person somehow shooting 81 people running in a theater with an AR-15. Military personnel flat-out said it was impossible for one person to do that with only 30 rounds, but despite that, there’s only one person on trial.

Oh jeez! So predictable, yet so unnessisary.

The rats didn’t really seem evil in this scene, I don’t think. They were nervous when the mob surrounded them. It seems to me that the moment one got hit in the head, the gun went off by accident or reflex, and things just spiraled out of control from there. None of the rats seemed happy or bloodthirsty about this at any point.

Though don’t get me wrong, they are some trigger-happy little buggers most of the time.

Endtown was a police state where the only ones armed were those in power. Now it seems at least one citizen has taken up arms against the oppressors!

There comes a time when shooting up a place just doesn’t work…

“Let’s start a riot!” Is the immediate song that popped into my head.

Ah, some of those good old-fashioned human values Mr. Allgood wants to see. . .

I wonder if this is the first time the rats have had causualties?

Oh man, love the insanity of it all.

That being said, the more I saw em, the more I loved the rats. I really feel for them in this situation, earlier being just outnumber was one thing, but now they’re presumably outgunned as well. Called out to a job they didn’t see going south, attacked with rocks and bottles, and cut off, helpless from assistance.

As horrible as it may be to say, I hope that third rat running gets away, and I hope he takes a few Endtowner’s out during his escape.

Course, seems my prediction that the crowd would disperse was one based on circumstances I didn’t understand fully, I’m guessing the sheer lack of distance between the two groups attributed to a braver resolve from the demonstrators. Had I been in command of these guys, we most certainly would have all died.

I actually think the humanization may be happening here, as said in other comments, the rats didn’t seem all that enthusiastic in killing anyone, when it all came down to the wire.

my first thought as I read today’s installment was the coasters’ “Riot in Cell Block Number 9”.
