It's the End of Civilization as we know it. A mutagenic plague followed by a global war fought with disintegration weaponry has left much of the Earth a desert of fine powder and what remains of humanity fragmented into humans, animal-like mutants and bloodthirsty monstrosities with lots of teeth. The surface, still teeming with the mutagenic virus, has become the domain of the dreaded Topsiders; well-organized, technologically advanced, and heavily armed un-mutated humans sworn to exterminate mutations of any kind in order to clear the way for the eventual resurgence of a new, genetically clean humanity. Faced with annihilation, mutants and "impure" humans have retreated into the depths of the planet to form communities and hope to win, or at least survive, what may prove to be mankind's final war. Endtown is the continuing story of one of those communities.

Not quite sure whether this is a good or bad reaction. Is she really helping him, or just helping him slip further into his delusion? But maybe in the end it’s better for him to be insane but functioning, than driven completely mad with grief.

that is SO Sweet! tears of joy and gratitude. He has found his Trudy and feels loved again! Maybe she looks similar to his Trudy.
Linda looks worried in the end, Like what must she do, keep making him cakes? He is old, so maybe he will die in his sleep a happy man!
Or maybe Linda is afraid to fall in love with this old feller.

I doubt she looks anything like Trudy, but it is possible that, since Mr. Hopper had been looking for Trudy and her cake for the last 20 years, that any anthro female could stand in for her. I think she’s more surprised (and maybe uncomfortable) than worried. She probably didn’t expect this reaction. I can’t help but think she’s fond of the sweet, delusional old man. :)

I really wanted to taste it!! It had to be good because of all the attention and yeah,,,, love put in it. Linda is a full and valuable member of End Town. I think we all accept her as one of the best.
Had disagreement with my MD. He saw me last last night and called an ambulance and sent me to ER where whey checked me for 1)heart attact.. no, 2) conjestive heart… no
3)blood clot… no 4) ulcer… Bingo. So now I am on a really bland diet. No chocolate cake for me. Boo Hiss.
He never listens to ME…. My original diagnosis of Phenom
Fibrose he ignored my protestings until I told him my father had died of it. Another Boo Hiss.

The good news is that ulcers normally are caused by H pylori or similar bacteria. I got rid of it a couple years ago with brocosprouts.

I forgot to add that aside from telling my favorite off colored jokes I told EVERY one about gocomics and EndTown. Most of them made a note of the info and promised they would check us out.
