Didn’t she work under Janet Reno? That should have generated a lot more plot lines than it did, from Waco to Elian Gonzalez.

That would make her more punctual than about 99% of Congress.

Whatever became of Elly? Did she and Joanie keep in touch over the years?

Elly never reappeared in the strip, which I always found incredible—it would have been such a natural thing to have her show up and work with Joanie and Lacey.

Now, that’s an interesting story all by itself!
    Makes one wonder about …

    ‘The rest of the story!’

Did you happen to read Caro’s series on LBJ? When he was “Master of the Senate” he had his ways to find the burrows of the members whether they were in a bar or a whorehouse and get them there for a vote. Apparently it was the only time in history that the Senate actually worked. Interesting reading.

Right, and avoid conversations with Erich Von Daniken.

Cool, Eric Cantor may have to get a real job and give up his dream of being a professional politician and Speaker.
