This is one of the most ridiculous Doonesbury story lines of all time.

Don’t you think that’s the point? The whole thing with this monarchy in the 21st century and all the attention paid to this anachronism while real issues are overlooked? Do you think that Trudeau is just pointing out how ridiculous it is?

StCleve is right, but as IamUnique said above, very cringeworthy.

I think that if they would have dressed as the Doctor and companion, they would have been ushered through a lot quicker.

For those who don’t remember this from the first time round, wait and see…

Zonker’s title is a good in-joke for British readers. St Austell is in Cornwall, most places “in the moor” are somewhere up north, Brixham is a seaside town in Devon, and Biggleswade is a really rather boring place in Bedfordshire. It’s a bit like being the congressman for Chicago-on-sea, Texas.

Then they would have had Magic Paper to serve as the invitation.

“I hope Sam has been reading recent supermarket tabs.”

Yes, I saw one a day or so ago that mentioned a “princess” for Harry.

Thanks for the explanation, Asto. That adds to the fun. GoComics commenters are the greatest!
