The curse of phony baloney Dr. Wertham still lives! His lousy book “Seduction Of The innocent”, as poorly researched and thrown together as it was, still had the power to unfairly label Batman and Robin and other pulp and comic book heroes. He called Superman a “deviant”.

“… too creepy, even to the British.” A new bar has been set.

When you follow the dictum of conclusion first, then amass data that will support your conclusion it will always come out supporting what you want. Damn science and real research.

Takes a lot to creep us out…
OK, so a POLITE explanation for those who have not yet realised: the strip is still in weekday reruns until Nov 18th (at the current estimate) while Trudeau finishes work on his Alpha House project. Sunday strips are new.

Look at Superman’s tights and red briefs and tell me he’s not a deviant.

At least in the newest movie, the underwear has migrated to the inside.

Perhaps someone will take the time to explain just what is so wrong with the – totally incidental to the substance of the cartoon – potential that the characters, Batman & Robin, might be “gay”, or perhaps seen as being that way by some people. The guy, or gal, calling him/her self “Buzza Wuzza” maybe?

Koko was a British ward who was up to no good . . . see The Mikado, Gilbert and Sullivan.
