"Garry Trudeau is the premier American social and political satirist of his time." -Newsweek Doonesbury has managed to be articulate, abrasive, political, compassionate, misunderstood, misprinted, and outrageous - but one thing it's never been is complacent. Garry Trudeau's creation has chronicled American history and culture in a parallel universe. And through it all, Doonesbury has always been honest, entertaining, and thought-provoking.

Dang reruns. We all know this career fizzled. He should be signing books at Rock-Bottom Remainders.

Rerun maybe, but it brings back the idiocy of book signings. Amazing the “fans” who crawl out of the woodwork…

Blue Bandet does in Iraq what Red Rascal does in Afghanistan?

The arc’s definitely a rerun. I remember it. But it was so good — what with Trudeau’s sendup of San Diego’s Comic-Con costumes and all — that I don’t mind the repetition. Like re-reading a good book.
Here’s a New Year’s Eve toast hoping for a new Doonesbury arc, one about the “fiscal cliff”!

Who BUYS a copy of the Red Rascal book?

Enough book buyers for author Jeff’s royalties to make a down payment on a mega-estate, a new Porsche and who knows what else. He’d also have to have enough skin in the game to meet the credit checks. A best seller, just not a long-term best-seller.

I see that racism is alive and well in some parts of our dear country.

I’m sure all your little fanboys will like to know that your book is available at imidiot.com and flea markets throughout the country.

Next summer when I’m out on my bicycle going to garage sales and see your book on sale for ten cents or even in the free box, I’ll be sure to leave it there.

I suspect you will be told to go to the first four letters of your name unless this is meant to be ironic. Then you have my permission to giggle all the way.
