   Sort of. Doesn’t really matter to me if it’s not strictly true — LWP has seen Zip appear on weekends (could have been arerun? Or somehow not under Trudeau’s strict control) — ’cause just the idea of the ’toonist giving a character, any character, a reg. weekend off is unexpected.

   I think he’s messing with us, and quite successfully too. Not just me and thee and the rest of the crew here, but everybody who blurs the boundaries between the real and the fictional. Just ask any soap opera actor.

    I guess GT is cutting down on the cast because he can’t afford the health insurance. He’s dumping the old people just before retirement and probably without benefits.

    I still say, that GT is just having fun with us, and perhaps trying something new. You don’t hit a home run everytime at bat.

    DT Pi, I think equating this, with what Clinton did. is a bit of a stretch. Unless you really feel that we are being abused by this story line.
