If you’ve only had the mass produced swill being passed off as ‘beer’, I’d agree with you. From what I’ve heard, beer in this country was much better before Prohibition wiped out all of the small brewers who made distinctive products. After Prohibition ended, pretty much all beer was produced on an industrial scale, with predictable results.The micro-brew/home-brew movement has brought good beer back to the U.S.A.Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy!

For once, we agree on something! I don’t care for it either, but then again… I’ve yet to find a liquor that I do like..Now that I take Synthroid and other ‘script medicines, I couldn’t have alcohol even if I wanted to!

Another I could hang out with… if you’d drink tea. I hate being around drunk people; they make me nervous & I’ve left parties early because of such behavior.

Home brew is REAL beer, not that crap Bud puts out made by a chemist.

Strange but true, Budweiser is an extremely pure product administered by brewmasters the traditional way, with absolute control over quality. Miller has all sorts of weird chemicals in it (why they’ve fought product labeling, whereas A-B was all for it, because it’s all natural). Trouble is they are both wheat beers instead of traditional hops-heavy European beer.The reason why American beer became wheat beer is Prohibition. Farmers couldn’t grow hops, since you couldn’t grow it for any reason BUT beer, so anyone making beer or near-beer switched to wheat. Prior to Prohibition, A-B made beer like everyone else. It was founded by Germans, after all. A few years ago they even brought back their “original recipe” beer. But if you’re going to drink wheat beer (I don’t drink anything alcoholic, so I have no dogs in this hunt), Bud is better than Miller in terms of quality. I hear Sam Adams beats them hands-down for taste, of course…

While I do not agree with you about the flavor of beer, I don’t like it either. However, I can drink a whole bottle, once ever couple of years.
