Yes, but is the Rover going to come home on weekends with all it’s dirty laundry for Mom to wash?

How much of this is a result of eight years of the Bush administration screaming “BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID” OF EVERYTHING! While our nation HAS been declining for several decades in “independence” and courage in our “younger generations”, how much HAS the “communication revolution” destroyed cultures, not just ours?
When a trip across the ocean took months, people had some courage. When mail still took weeks, we were capable of “individual thought and responsibility”. Today, “instant gratification” is the “be all and end all”.
Just took a little trip, and noted that as we crossed the (hostile) desert, in every hour, we went as far as wagon trains could make, in 4 to 5 DAYS!
Maybe running out of fossil fuels, because we’re stupid, may be a “good thing”.

It’s the modern cycle of life. She whines now, but she’ll do the same to her kids.

Like over 8% unemployment is acceptable, or as your king calls it “the new normal”.

Seeing as how the unemployment rate was nearly 10% before Obama took office, 8% is an improvement. It’d probably be lower if corporate America hadn’t succumbed to East Asia’s siren song of near slave wages and utter disregard of pollution.

Don’t feed the tr… Oh, too late. Look, Jase, when a commenter rips out a word from a post, spins it 90° sideways and into a statement and then adds an insult there is no sense in replying, really. He does this for fun or profit, but not in order to have a civilized discussion, trust me on this…

Last “W” budget year, actually 2009. Unemployment after the “Bush crash of ’08” in 2009, 9.3%. It DOES take a few months for layoffs to catch up with screwups.
