Whenever a politician campaigns, he tells you what he wants to do. Most of the time, s/he’s pretty truthful about that. The problem sets in when reality sets in. What the winner said they wanted to accomplish and what they are actually able to accomplish are not going to be the same thing. Anyone who believes that campaign “promises” are automatically fulfilled when a person is elected is extremely unfamiliar with the Democratic process.
However, if you really liked the promises, get out and help elect the votes that will enable the person you voted for to keep them.
