One thing DB Cooper did learn. Never jump at altitude. You pass out due to lack of oxygen before you can pull your chute. That’swhy fighter pilots use an auto system to pull the chute once they eject otherwise it is a very long fall but the stop is quick. I have flown on few planes I wished I had a parachute.
