Hmmm…it’s interesting that the left takes a person’s opinion about traditional marriage (Dan Cathy), where he says NOTHING about gays in any way, and it becomes “hate speech” to the collectivists. Fascism anyone?

Even more interesting is when Rahm Emanuel (Obama’s former-chief-of-staff, and current mayor of Chicago) responded by saying “Chick-Fil-A’s values are not Chicago values.” Yeah, and this is the same guy who asks rabid gay-hater and Jew-baiter Louis Farrakhan to help him keep his crime-saturated streets safe. Farrakhan’s church operates a restaurant, so where are the “kiss-ins” at THIS establishment?

    The hypocrisy is mind-boggling…

Violence on the “left” is no better than violence on the “right”.

People sometimes think I’m weird because I call myself a pacifist, but I haven’t yet seen a shooting by a pacifist.

Since Rahm Emanuel vows that he will not allow any more business licenses for Chik-fil-A’s due to Dan Cathy’s PERSONAL statement, I wonder if he’s gonna do the same thing for black churches that have similar feelings/eachings????

While violence IS UNACCEPTABLE, sometimes those “holier than thou” who foment it, do find it coming back on them.

Chik-Fil-A has a charitable arm (WInShaope Foundation) directly funded by those chicken sandwiches that pushes the Cathy’s right-wing social agenda. It’s not just Dan Cathy’s pewrsoanl opinion, it;s the position of the Chik-Fil-A Corporation.

Yeah, I mean, it’s not like gay people aren’t bullied to near-suicide or anything. Not saying it was right, but as long as the extreme right wants to keep bullying gays both physically and politically because of “religious expression,” I think they deserve a bit of “expression” from those they torment.

So a nut-job shot at a right wing org’s security guard. Why did he have 14 of those chicken sandwiches in his possession?

“Homosexuals are not normal people. "--That’s right, they’re special. And, much better than you. They aren’t out to do you harm or take away any of your rights, or deny you rights most everyone else in the USA enjoys.-—-Eddie, you shouldn’t be so concerned about other people’s personal lives, especially since they don’t involve you or have any affect on you. Same as when it was, and still may be in some areas, for different races to inter-marry.

from the Chik-Fil-A.com website=•Employee relations: To encourage restaurant employees to realize their potential, Cathy established the Leadership Scholarship Program – $1,000 scholarships to qualifying employees to the school of their choice. Since 1973, more than $30 million in scholarships has been awarded. In 2012, Chick-fil-A will award $1.65 million in scholarships to restaurant team members.•Philanthropies: Chick-fil-A’s main philanthropy, the WinShape Foundation (created in 1984 by Cathy), consists of programs created to “shape winners” including WinShape Camps®,WinShape® College, WinShape RetreatSM, WinShape MarriageSM, WinShape WildernessSM, WinShape International and WinShape Homes®.-I am proud of this business….providing jobs to so many Americans, so many young Americans, and helping them be successful in their personal lives. God has blessed the Cathy family and business and they are a model for others to imitate and to honor God in all things.

from cnsnews.com … excerpt from article revealing that the Southern Poverty Law Center website marked the D.C. office of Family Research Council on their “Hate Map” before Corkins, a volunteer at the D.C. homosexual Center of LGBT, entered armed with a 9 mil gun and more than 50 rounds of ammo and a backpack with 15 Chik-Fil-A sandwiches, denouncing the “politics” of FRC…-“Before a gunman shot a security guard at the FRC, the Southern Poverty Law Center had posted the FRC on its “hate map.”The map and SPLC listing of “hate organizations” equates groups such as the Family Research Council, which promotes the traditional Christian view of marriage and sexuality, with racist groups that violate Christian teaching on human dignity."-Christian Pro-Biblical marriage groups are NOT equal to NeoNazi radicals!

@stephenryunnels…Q= what action?I have lived 79 years as a law-abiding American.I leave “action” up to the civil authorities.I speak up only for truth as I believe it, and I support those that earn my approval, with donations and prayers for organizations and selected office seekers. I love the Tea Party which is the 21st century version of Patriots ala our Founders.no Christian that I know approves of radicals or violence. We promote laws that fulfill biblical teachings of right versus wrong and we oppose law-breakers, including government scoff-laws such as we see in power today. (p.s. my local church is Independent and is not controlled by any heirarchy….our roots agree with middleages Anabaptists that fought evils in the State-Churches)-recent “actions” are on the LEFT….the Sikh Temple shootings and the D.C. one-man invasion/shooting by a volunteer for the anti-biblical teachings LGBT.

@lonecat….the shooter was identified and police found ties to white supremicist radicals….that is on the Left of the political spectrum...from wikipedia=Wade Michael Page, born on November 11, 1971,29 was living in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and was originally from Colorado. He worked for the U.S. Army from April 1992 through October 1998,3031 when he received an involuntary discharge.18 Page was initially a repairman for the Hawk missile system, before becoming a psychological operations specialist.1832 He was demoted and received a general discharge18 for “patterns of misconduct,” including being drunk while on duty and going AWOL.8932 After his discharge, Page returned to Colorado, living in the Denver suburb of Littleton from 2000 through 2007.33 Page worked as a truck driver from 2006 to 2010, but was fired after receiving a citation for impaired driving.3435

Page had ties to white supremacy and neo-Nazi groups, reportedly being a member of the Hammerskins.19 He entered the white power music scene in 2000, becoming involved in several neo-Nazi bands.36 He founded the band End Apathy in 2005 and played in the band Definite Hate, both considered racist white-power bands by the Southern Poverty Law Center.1826

Page’s former step-mother apologized to the Sikh victims37 and said she had not been in touch with her step-son for the past twelve years, after divorcing his father.1838 A former friend described him as a “loner” and said he had talked about an “impending racial holy war”.39 According to his neighbors, Page lived alone, rarely left his apartment, and avoided eye contact with them.40

Page legally purchased the handgun used in the shooting, a Springfield XD, on July 28, 2012 at a gun shop in West Allis, Wisconsin. Page passed the background checks required, and paid cash for the gun, along with three 19-round ammunition magazines. The owner of the gun shop said that Page’s appearance and demeanor in the shop “raised no eyebrows whatsoever”.2

Following the shooting, photographs of Page appeared in media reports showing him with a range of tattoos on his arms and upper body, which were said to show his links to white supremacist organizations.41

Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards declined to speculaton the motive behind the attack, saying “I don’t know why, and I don’t know that we’ll ever know, because when he died, that died with him what his motive was or what he was thinking.”42
