yes, this is so bad. Ryan worked during college as a salesman for Oscar Mayer and spent a summer in the “Weinermobile”.

As opposed to a college life filled with radical poets and smoking dope that the current president brags about in his books.

Let’s see which one should represent American values?

I am certain that a summer in a Wienermobil greatly enhances your ability in critical thinking and the intelectual process.

    @ruff

How disingenuous, ruff. The point is not “where” he worked but “that” he worked.

He was a “salesman” and by driving and/or riding in the “weinermobile” had the opportunity to conduct public relations one on one with those that would use the product. Being is such a high profile vehicle there was no doubt who he represented and therefore had to have been of good character one that Oscar Mayer could place in the public to represent their brand name. Millions of dollars where at stake. An yet this college student was up to the job.

Now remind me again of Obama’s college years as a student? What were his accomplishments? Oh yeah, the record is sealed.

Oscar and Gottfried Mayer worked hard in their shop, listened to their customers and sold a quality product.
    .
But, they didn’t build that business.

^^ without roads and other infrastructure to drive their weenermobile on, they didn’t build it entirely. Just like any company that relies on the internet. there’s a piece they didn’t build entirely either.

so for the shortsighted that think the government doesn’t create good jobs, just where did the roads AND the internet and all their related spinoffs and parasites come from?

Obama held various summer jobs throughout his college years, including working a construction job, working at a deli counter, selling newspaper subscriptions and interning at a law firm. Those jobs don’t pay for a college education, though. Most of Obama’s education was paid with student loans that he paid off.

Most of Ryan’s education was paid for by his father’s Social Security. So, who is the one freeloading off of the government?

The simple fact, even the modified “Ryan plan” is pure baloney. It passed its expiration date when anyone looked at “the math”.

The Weiner, of course. The Weiner, the Weiner.

(It is SO appropriate for America.)

dan6pack….which came first, successful citizens paying taxes, or the roads built with tax revenue??
    -
America had successful businessmen before any public roads were ever built….every settlement with dirt streets and explorers and hunters on their own initiative built an Economy…
from the very first….the USA did not have a national highway system until Prez Ike in the 1950s…..
    -
Ryan’s life history will outshine either Obama’s or Biden’s IMO.
Obama was definitely the product of other people’s money and mentoring….Ryan is one of the successes using the original American Spirit of self-directed education and finding opportunity to rise above average. Hard work and study, not government favors, are responsible for his excellent record in government from age 28 to age 41 today……Both Ryan and Romney are ABOVE AVERAGE.

How apropos that Ryan drove a weinermobile.
The difference is that only cons will be buying what he’s selling this time.

In America today that doesn’t say much does it!

Yes, we must philosophically learn from our history and apply such knowledge appropriately, but we must also live and work with the modern tools and new lessons we have learned since then, and all within a social, environmental, and financial world that is in a practical way very different than the working realities of the history we evolved from.
