Realization is tough…

Oh, Alice. Oh, Petey.

Petey seems to be taking this harder than his sister.

Oh, to again be at the age when a bloody knee is the biggest concern in the world.

Alice is getting angry instead of frightened — that means she’s less likely to cry or freak out. But Petey has a good freak-out going.

Petey’s crisis-crescendo is so typical, so hilarious! But, still, it is out of concern for Alice, whose frustration with her big brother, sympathetic but obsessively frozen, is valid.

You’ll live, Alice. It’s just a boo-boo.

This brings to mind a story arc in “Warehouse 13” (I hope there are scifi fans around here)… Alice is the one hurt but Petey feels the pain!

My son and daughter are just like this! My son has aspergers, and would go into panic mode trying to protect his little sister, and she would have to calm him down! They are now 21 and 17. He lives on his own now and still calls once in a while to check in.

See, I told you yesterday Petey really does CARE about his little sister! The concern came first, then panic AFTER he realized blood was involved. :-D

I feel so bad about Mr. Thompson and will say a prayer for him. Anybody give any thought to running the strip from the beginning again. I am a fairly new viewer and would enjoy seeing the start of this great strip.

I think it is sweet the way Petey is trying to take care of his little sister even though his panic level is rising.
