Time to rename this strip “Aunt Fritzi”. She’s been stealing Nancy’s thunder for years. She’s witty and a nostalgia buff – while Nancy’s punchlines range from the lame to the pathetic. And – boy, is Fritzi ever built!
I Love BOTH Nancy and Fritz! In all the changes I have do deal with I don’t want this to change. Everyday I can revisit my childhood with Nancy and Fritz. Oh, Sluggo too!Thank You soooooooooo very much for the strip!
The only improvement I would like to see is Sluggo’s uncle winning the lottery…not necessarily a big one, but enough to put their house to rights, and buy the boy some clothes that arent rags, and let him be able to treat Nancy once in a while and having her over for dinner every now and then, instead of the other way around all the time. Everyone gets tired of a freeloader, even in the funnies.
In this area, the only way to get rain is to have a parade!But, even that didn’t work this year.Several years ago, the local town of Tioga (Illinois) held a celebration – which was rained out.And then the 4th of July was rained out.Only two significant rains the whole summer!

HAPPPPY BIRTHDAY Cartoonist Ernie Bushmiller (creator of Nancy) in 1905. Her original name, I believe, was Fritsy Ritzy.

If they renamed this strip Aunt Fritzi then Nancy’s parade will be rained on. Nancy IS the star of this comic.
