“Chick fil a & gay marriage- two quality institutions”- Jon Stewart on The Daily Show.
This story is another example of how both parties use social issues to divide the electorate & distract us from THEIR failure to work together to improve this nation for ALL of its people. Rich, poor, religious, athiest, male, female, young, old, gay, straight…ALL americans deserve to be represented with honor, ehics, and justice. The owner of a privately held company can say whatever he wishes. People disagreeing with that opinion can support other businesses as the cartoon indicates. There are products i don’t buy because I don’t like the way profits are used by the owners. Chick Fil A is a quality product and my gay friends who are in committed relationships are honorable and eithical people, so I agreed with Jon Stewart’s remarks on his show. Now, how about we do something about unsafe bridges and our outdated power grid. Or are the social issues more important than keeping the lights on and getting safely across the rivers?
The flagship Chick fil a outisde of Atlanta sells steaks and hamburgers when I was there several years ago. Don’t tell the Holstiens.

Agreed . . . we have serious problems plenty without the stupid distraction of this non-issue.
