Probably with the Republicans aboard that boat.

Why can’t the Rich pay their fair share or at least help to fix this Country instead of line their own pockets?

Spoken like a true liberal. You are entitled to your own opinions but you are not entitled to your own facts. According to the IRS the top 5 percent pay well over half the income taxes. The wealthiest 1 percent of the population earn 19 percent of the income but pay 37 percent of the income tax. I would say one percent paying 37 percent is more than a fair share. Grow up.

When your house burns down, whom do you hold responsible; the arsonist who started the fire or the firefighter trying to put it out?

Bush famously could not come up with any mistakes in his term. How about you?

Nice try, but he has done nothing that has actually improved our economy.

Because the Chosen One, the Great Messiah does not want to admit that he and he alone is to blame for screwing around and doing nothing to improve the economy when he had total control of the entire Congress for 3 years.

I don’t understand why the repubs call him the great messiah and the chosen one? Is it because he was the one that got chosen in the election 4 years ago? If a Liberal says a tea party member is racist, there is too much protesting about it. Last night I was on a blog and they were throwing names around like monkey, chimp, and trying to speak in a stereotyped way they think is how blacks talk. What I see so much is racism not even hidden. You would be happier if he was all white wouldn’t you?Obama may be remembered as a truly great president that was treated with more disrespect than any president before him.You guys are really hateful bigots. I’m not name-calling, Just pointing out the facts.Would anyone in an audience have dared call out “you lie” to Bush? To Clinton? To Any other president? Rudeness never before seen.

I’m sorry did you say GOOD plan submitted in referring to our current fearless leader? He wasn’t qualified for the job when he got it and he has shown that to be true in his ineffectiveness in running this fine country.

During all of this time the Democratic portions of Congress DID NOT have a filibuster-proof majority. And there is all the difference in the WORLD between considering them as “being in charge” and “being obstreperously obstructionist.”

Well, the invasion of Iraq did make it worse, and probably delayed the uprisings. Before the invasion of Iraq, Mohammed Khatami was President of Iran. If you don’t remember him, let me help. He was a progressive elected by 70% of the people, was encouraging negotiations with the west, and even though he was a Shiite scholar, he fought to wrest power away from the Ayatollah. Iran stood a chance of being an example of a newly progressive Muslim nation and possibly inspiring more democracy throughout the Middle East. Bush actually managed to screw that up by invading their neighbor, calling them an evil empire, and causing such fear among the people that they elected Achmadinejad, who was a right wing psycho but beloved by the Ayatollah. Had we spent our military budget on finding Bin Laden instead, Al Qaeda would have been dissolved (they really didn’t become huge until the Iraq war) and we would not be dealing with the Muslim Brotherhood, another group of right wing Islamists that were powerless before Bush stirred everything up. I have a few musician friends in Tehran who email me when they can (generally when touring outside of Iran) and they have told me the people of Iran blame Bush for giving power back to the Ayatollah – everything the younger generation fought to achieve through democracy was wiped out by his hubris.

So now it takes a filabuster proof something to get anything done? really?======Normally, no. The Republicans were WILLING to work with Clinton. But when the Republicans pledged their allegiance to Emperor Grover Norquist The Untaxable, they started voting as a unified block. You get some Democrats voting ‘no’ because they think something’s a bad idea. You get the Republican party voting ‘no’ because it was proposed by President Obama. And your inability to even use ‘cut-and-paste’ to spell a four syllable word correctly doesn’t bode well for your believability.
