People say that no matter whether a republican or democrat is in the White House. The only difference is who’s saying it. There’s only so much the president can do. In our current, sharply polarized political climate, every president is blocked by the opposite party no matter what they try to put through. But it’s always the president who takes the majority of the blame, while the clowns in congress continue to get themselves re-elected.

Term limits is the answer. Only they have to be approved by those who are already in office and what are the chances of that?!

That is the true problem with our political system. If we could take money out of the equation maybe our government would work for the good of the country and all it’s people. I know I’m a dreamer………but I’m not the only one. :-)

@toonmaster: How about this: Limit the Senate to 2 total terms, NON-consecutive (Have to leave after 1 term, but can only ever run for 1 more term); Limit the House of Representatives to 4 terms, consecutive or otherwise (total of 8 years in their lifetime). President is already limited to 2 terms.

the war on the middle class is already over, we lost. We have a government in the pockets of wealthy elite by and for the mega-corporations. This is true of both parties.
