Holy moly! I was just using Google to help me say something in turtle for today’s comic and…Well remember those sites from the dark ages of the web…You know. The sites with row upon row of animated gifs of cartoon animals dancing to some tacky tune? They still exist. Angelfire does too and there’s a turtle one there.

The blog would be ever so much classier if that “lame” graphic was replaced with a “lamé” one.

Patches: The 509th patch is supposed to be from an electronics unit that tested the effctiveness of the 509th’s new stealth bombers. The Latin phrase means “Tastes like chicken.” The Latin on the other patch is supposed to mean “A secret squadron from deep in the night; don’t ask questions.”

Do you think Teresa had a hidden message in it, now that I think about it. She’s gone amiss, and if you re-read the strip, well, I don’t know. I read the strip but rarely all the comments, so you all know her better.

Reading the comments, if, as it appears, Ms. Burritt is taking care of self and her own, I can only add that I hope she takes as much time as she needs. While her wit and creativity are sorely missed, I (and I suspect all her faithful readers) would rather be without her briefly and have her around for a long while.
