Actually this has been going on in Washington with the Capitals for years. They block out calls from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia phones so they can’t purchase tickets when the play those teams, especially in the playoffs.

In Florida we actually are grateful for anyone who turns up at Tropicana Field when the Rays are playing. We can’t fill the stadium even when we’re in first place. Red Sox and Yankee fans are most welcome. We’ll treat you right!

Wonder if the Indians sell brownies at the concession stands? And it’s sad the Rays don’t get better support in Tampa and St. Pete. They’ve been a good team for a few years now, but Florida has produced a ton of great players, but it’s never been much of a state for baseball as a spectator sport (watch what happens with Marlins attendance after the novelty of the new ballpark in Miami wears off). Florida is football and NASCAR country, son.

We in Kansas City know that money is money and we’ll take it from anybody and everybody, as long as they’re sober and aren’t packing heat. Our home attendance this season is way ahead of last season even though we’ve been terrible at home (and above .500 on the road, including shutting out the Yankees yesterday).

Why sell tickets if you are federally owned?

Back when Nebraska was in the BIg 12, some of the weaker draws (Iowa St, Kansas, Colorado) used to require the purchase of season tickets in order to get tickets to the Nebraska game. So the Husker fans just bought the Season tickets and put the rest on e-bay or stub hub. When theres a will, theres a way.

@SC0304 It is still the same in San Diego. When the Dodgers or Angles play the LA fans sure look like they outnumber the San Diego fans
