Good morning, Vagabonds.>>>>>>>I didn’t expect to find no comments here. It’d 3:AM, +/- Been watching a good movie that I haven’t seen in quite some time.Donald Sutherland, an island off the coast of Scotland. Takes place during the run-up to the Allied invasinn at Normandy, WW2. What is it that kept me up til 3:00 A.M.?Take a look at it, might find it interesting.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

The only two movies that I know about with Donald Sutherland in them that have to deal with WW2 would be The Dirty Dozen, and Kelley’s Heroes. Both are very good films.

Today’s the commemoration of D-Day………I can’t even imagine what those wonderful guys went through that day! (and the whole war!!!)

Rita, neither of those were about the run-up to Normandy. Both were great flicks, though! Could be “The Eagle has Landed” or “Eye of the Needle”, probably the latter.

JANCINLV & CHRIS SMITH:It is indeed " Eye of the Needle". Sutherland is a Nazi spy and an emotionless killer. The epitome of evil. I hadn’t seen it in some time, and didn’t even know it wold be on the tube.Don’t have the means to record anything, anyhow..

The B&W avatar wasn’t very good, needed to be bigger to appreciate. This one is the North Fork of the American River. Off to the left at the end of this caln stretch, and out of sight, is where I was camped in ’76 & 77. Really pretty there. Had a lot of visitors at times. July 4th weekend of ’77 I had company from Ore. New York. SoCal, Richmond (CA) and the Sacramento area. 19 people. Some bringing “stony” gifts. :-)
