Agreed! Whether you’ve lost a pet to an accident or not, just isn’t funny, and in poor taste. When my son was in 1st grade, our cat was hit by a car right before my eyes. I ran to pick her up and she died on my lap as I was driving, trying to get her to the vet, my son and I sobbing all the way. That was the last time I had an “outdoor” cat. Since then my indoor cats have lived to 18-20 years.
