The democrat party in America is more socialist than the socialist party in Europe.

Ima, you are so, so wrong; American Democrats are kind of center-right to centrist, compared to the socialists Europe; Republicans being so far to the right that they just about fell off the map.

I think if you were actually exposed to socialism, your head might explode.

On a side note: It would be nice if America had a genuine choice, something other than “either incompetent or evil.”

If we stay home, the NeoBirchers, funded by Koch, et al, will be running the country.

Seems to me that that would be FAR worse than what we currently have.

Voting doesn’t make any candidate “legitimate”…sometimes it’s just dealing with realities. It’s always been about selecting the lesser of two evils because politics by definition are problematic, and not “pure”.

At least the Socialist Party elected a Senator. The Greens are on more ballots. Both strive for the greatest good for the most people in the shortest time, the Socialists by trickle down and the Greens grass roots up. The rest are bribed fronts for the multinational corporations who are also to blame for the financial conditions in Europe – even the old Soviet empire has progressed to the point that Asia (other than Japan, and increasingly China) can out-sweatshop them.

God I’m Canadian and I really dislike the conservatives and Steven Harper. However the CONS here are pretty far left from Barrack OB. None the less you might consider Canada to be communist even with one of the largest economies on earth and being the USA’s largest trade partner

What we both need is a fiscally conservative party willing to cut down military and surveillance of civilians before cutting into our healthcare and other valued services

Hey, we’ve just got to remember that Ima is a troll! Don’t respond to his/her comments and maybe he/she will go back into the woodwork or under that rock.

Awesome cartoon. Politics is the problem, not the solution.

Not true! The Democratic Party of today is somewhere to the right of the Republican party of Dwight Eisenhower.

That was a good thought out post, but there are a few things that Romney would be worse about than Obama.

Obama has improved the economy slowly but steadily. Romney is indeed crazy. Romney would be more prayer over education that Obama.

The whole deck is stacked against us, but since voting is about our only option, Obama has been obstructed on anything he tried to do by the oath of the repubs, to make Obama fail their number 1 goal., Obama is by far the less radical one.So if voting will keep Romney and his richest buddies and his catering to the rich OUT then it will not be in vain.
