Watching “Top Gear” review and test Chinese made cars. They pointed out the HUGE production of autos in China today to meet demand, as folks move from bicycles to autos. The economy is growing there, and while it certainly isn’t “good” the political situation is also change for the better.
What’s interesting is that as China, and other countries “gain” freedom, we have folks on the right screaming “freedom!” while bending over as it’s taken away in the name of “security”, and in fear of “terror”. Democracy depends on social justice and equality, not the “1%” running the show. Even China is finding that out.

I guess what they mean is what “chinese political freedom” consists of is the writing on the back of a computer monitor.

Of course, the Great Wall was a failure…I expect this one will be, too, given time. Government can’t keep up with a million dedicated nerds.
