I like this strip already. It even spurred me to start reading Ozy and Millie. Nice work, Dana.

Cool, I didn’t expect this to understand usenet style footnotes.
ObContent: My wish would be to become by main fursona, with enough others becoming Chakats that we don’t have to worry about going bonkers from lack of contact.

The unicorn kind of looks more like a serpent than a horse, but I still like it.

Another O&M fan delighted to find this going on. Congrats, Dana.
Any idea why I can’t get the strip in Google Reader?

love the last line!
Simon_Jester about 12 years ago
There’s a line from Oscar Wilde that Phoebe might want to remember right about now.

It’s at least better than Eric the circle.

Wow, the unicorn can do world peace? She must have a good plan! How long has she been waiting for this moment? (er… the unicorn is a she, right?)

First unicorns are NOT horses. Unicorns have cloven hooves, and a number of other differences from horses. They are unique. Second, FINALLY someone asks for the most obvious wish, more wishes!!! Smart gal. Keep it up.

“All right…then in that case, I wish for the Minnesota Vikings to win the Super Bowl.”
“Okay kid, now you’re REALLY getting out there!”

I see we’re creeping up on Anthony Boucher’s 1955 short short story, “Nellthu”.

The beauty of the first panel would only be ruined by an amateur GoComics colorist’s interpretation of what it should look like. B & W for dailies, please!

I wish it was in color too.

Make this wish good.

Unicorn doesn’t seem particularly likeable, though well intentioned. I like this, as it gives plenty of room for the character to develop as the strip progressess.

Hey, now, be kind to Eric the Circle. As a child, I had a sidekick named Circle Lad. I like circles.

I can’t help thinking of the genie scene in Goedel, Escher, Bach, with the Genie and the Meta-Genie and all.

x’D My first wish would be the same thing as hers.

If one thing I dislike about the color “reboot” done for syndication, is that it skips this part and goes right to the wish that finally gets granted. Also if Phoebe was being portrayed as a too smart for her age kid, she would say something like “If wishing for world peace really worked, someone would have granted that wish already, right?”
