There’s another thing I’m just discovering I didn’t hear…. which is that Annie only went to Spain for testing.It’s been a few months since we saw the preparations, but I thought Alan bought her clothes and Lila took time off, so they could deliver her to the Gaudi Institute, where she was going to attend school.I was unclear on whether or not Alan was planning to stay with her, at least for a while longer than Lila….but I never thought they were all going back to Ohio to await word on whether there’d be a return trip to Barcelona.
same here…BUT…Susan is usually right.However, I also thought it was just a trip to check it out and for Annie to be tested to see if she qualifies for school there.
I bow to the greater consensus.I read the strip every day, but maybe some of you picked up on something I didn’t … though wow, thanks for the apparently undeserved vote of confidence, Linda D. :)I just remember Dr. Fine saying he’d pay for the Gaudi Institute, and Alan taking Annie shopping, even buying her a thankfully discarded wig, so I thought, apparently wrongly, that she was packing for a stay at school.And Eldo…. Annie was an orphan and Lila has legally adopted her, so when Annie says “My mother” she means Lila.There isn’t another one in the picture.

If Lila doesn’t love Dr. Klein, she should not marry him. It’s not fair to either of them, especially since the extent of her feelings are…suspect.

Susan, I thought she was going for a couple of weeks or so, like summer camp. I didn’t realize it was testing for going there for regular schooling.
