It seems to me that this problem is not unique to China; the U.S. would just LOVE to control internet access and cut down on political activism.

Just for the record, the Great Wall didn’t do a particularly good job at keeping the Mongols or the Manchus out, did it?
Conservatives in the U.K. are apparently also stepping up “data gathering”, just like our “Patriot Act” authorized.
