And if we don’t stop Monsanto’s Roundup — they will become extinct. The destruction of milkweed is devastating their feeding and breeding grounds.

It’s not like someone actually has to say or do something in order to be guilty or saying or doing it.

You have reduced the discussion to the ridiculous. What is “semantics”? Here is a link that might help you understand:

    http://examples.yourdictionary.com/examples-of-semantics.html

To get to the “meaning” of what Romney said, of course, it must be taken in context. That is exactly why I provided a link to the YouTube video which captured precisely his statement that the 47% do not matter to him. Here it is again for your benefit (and the benefit of others):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2gvY2wqI7M

In context, what he said was this:

    1) There are 47% of the people “… who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them….” [This means that he does not believe that.]

    2) These 47% are those “… who believe that they are entitled….” [This means that he does not believe that.]

    3) “And so my job is not to worry about those people.” [This means that they do not matter to him.]

Would you care share YOUR interpretation of those remarks?

Romney NEVER said 47% of the country didn’t matter to him.-—Well, now you’re arguing semantics! What he said was:

“And so my job is not to worry about those people.“What I have to do is convince the five to ten percent in the center that are independents….”

Do you seriously contend that "not to worry about those people [the 47%] does not equate to “they didn’t matter to him”?

[N.B. – “IRRELEVANT” – like beauty – is in the eye of the beholder. You engaged The Wolf In Your Midst and I defended his post because it is accurate.]

Romney never said or thought 47% of the country didn’t matter to him….-—Well, what can I say?I live in Mexico and apparently I know more about U.S. politics than you do

Watch this YouTube clip and see if you can identify the quotation where the statement of The Wolf In Your Midst is verified:

    Romney and the 47 percent

Anyway, as Snowden said recently, the government doesn’t have the right to spy on you even if you are dull as dirt.

The next time I hear someone say, “If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear” (in defense of Constitutional violations), I’ll have to remember to respond, “Everyone has something to hide.”
