I tell them that the plane flies only because of the combined concentration of all the passengers wishing it to fly, and you can feel the bumps when someone forgets. So they had better just sit there and concentrated.

Reminds me of the Verizon (?) commercial from the US. The ‘black’ family, where the son asks questions, but mom and dad are busy, than the daughter comes in with the ‘super fast internet’ and answers the questions for her brother.
