These “commenters” don’t seem to understand that it’s a CARTOON … just enjoy it, people! A lot of thought and care went into making this strip one of the better ones.

I love the banter between Earl and Opal. They are my parents! Men that age don’t dust…although Dad did take over the kitchen after he retired. What appears as insulting comments are really just their settled way of communication. i hope B.C. never changes a thing!

Would you rather live with Earl and Opal, or with john abrams? I rest my case. @suevanv, I’m with you. Of course in a comic the tone of voice is missing, but you and I can hear it because we’ve heard it in real life.

I can sympathize with Earl. Except it’s not my sister-in-law’s furniture, it’s her cooking – It makes Alpo ( dog food) look like a gourmet meal.
