I was once in an IRS regional office that had a hallway decorated with framed copies of income tax returns over the decades. The first one was (I believe) from 1913. It basically said: How much did you make? Multiply by some tiny percent. Send it in.

In comparison, I did my federal taxes last night. What a rats-nest! What ever happened to tax simplification?!

Of course, the deeper issue is that if government could be constrained to its one moral purpose of defending individual rights, it would be so small it could probably be financed by voluntary contributions.

I hope Obama doesn’t see this!!

Wait! you guys are blaming Jerry Brown…but you forget that Proposition 13 killed the schools, the highways, all the services, and he, Jerry Brown, good public servant, did what you wanted him to: simply enforced the ‘will of ’ such people as the Koch brothers’ colleagues…the subversives who persuaded the majority of citizens of California to abrogate the social contract in favor of their own materiality…caused, among other things…the gang warfares of the 80s, 90s, and the massive growth of prisons…

Yeah, go ahead, you carefully and selectively forgetful conservatives! cowards. You wouldn’t take responsibility for your fellow humans and American citizens then, and you won’t take responsibility for your results now. You either KNOW what you’ve done and why, which means in my eyes that you are knowing traitors…OR you have been duped.

I hope that you have been duped, because then that means that you might yet wake up and save the country from what may be the most clever subversive campaign the country has ever been assaulted by…the one which used you to kill California and now persuades you that someone else,t he one you overcame, did it…I certainly HOPE you wake up.
