Yeah, I remember Pong. I was so bad at it I never played another video game.

Yes. I also remember my mother ‘discovering’ it at a friend’s house and her acting all current and hip about it.Thanks a bunch Tony. I thought I had successfully buried that memory forever. Now it is there again, burned into my consciousness.Sigh.

The Sears store had Pong set up and that is where parents parked the kids so they could shop in peace. Back in the days when you could park your kids someplace in a store and not have Childrens Services called for abandoned kids.

Yep. Last year, we made a version of it at work. What about old school Zelda on Nintendo? Those were the days!

@Tony, Yes and may have played it once or so. I know I played pacman because I remember eating ghosts. I never cared for the computer for games because the other stuff I could do with it were more fun. Never saw a computer until shortly after my divorce in 1975. My boyfriend bought the very latest TRS and we played with the artificial intelligence; his sister believed everything it said (figures!)

I remember the name, but not the game. My first introduction into video games was Mario and Yoshi on the first Nintendo machine. I was in my 20’s, and boy was that game addictive, but it was a blast!

I was in my mid 30s when I first saw a computer and went on to teach myself AutoCAD, pretty good for my age, as I had no schooling from well before that.

Ditto on Star Trek. I had no patience for the game and used to travel Warp 9 everywhere, using up the energy. I had no juice left for the phasers when the bad guys showed up. Good times.

I remember Pong well. He escaped the jaws of Pac Man only to be smashed by Donkey Kong’s barrel. May he rest in pieces.

I loved Frogger! No video games after that though.
