Cannie, it’s good to hear from you again, even if it’s the same drivel. Check it out — Bush and Clinton rode together in the same limo on January 20, 2001. Since you cannot come up with a time when Bush was critical of Clinton, you have to resort to your usual tactics.

Certainly true in the US. Knew it would happen when Reagan broke the unions, leaving no one to speak for workers against their employers.

when bush took office, the first and immediate slander was that clinton’s team removed all the ’w’s from the keyboards.

turned out not to be true.

churchy, churchy. . .Relying on history’s first draft. And Bob Barr?Really? The air went out of this non-event a couple of months after the initial kerfluffle.

To its credit, Fox acknowledged on Friday — the same day the GAO report became public — that there had been little evidence to support its vandalism claims. Later “Fox News Sunday” host Tony Snow went even further, apologizing to former Clinton staffers for his error. “OK, I’m sorry,” Snow said on the program. “The ex-president’s pals have a legitimate beef.”

Salon has an exhaustive history of this non-event, and the fact free reporting that carried it along. http://www.salon.com/2001/05/23/vandals/

…I am amazed with the amount of good the Obama administration has done for our great country despite the constant stonewalling by the ‘just say no’ do nothing FOX controlled do nothing republican minions. Still, more amazing are the amount of gullible drinkers of the tea tinged Kool-Aid.You sure can pick out those mutts that only watch or listen to FOX news…

William McRaven, the four star admiral and career navy SEAL who currently heads U.S. Special Forces, should have the last word, describing his impressions of Obama during the planning sessions that resulted in the killing of Bin Laden: “The president was at all times presidential. I would contend he was the smartest guy in the room. He had leadership skills we’d expect from a guy who had 35 years in the military.”

Obama is doing so much better than the Republicans did, it’s not funny. Employment is actually on the rise! Compare to W’s record, or the likely effect of ANY of the GOP candidates getting into office (that’s assuming they’ll do what they SAY they’ll do, which Republicans have a really bad track record for in the states they’ve conquered). The stimulus worked, until the GOP blocked extending it.

American corporations have turned the economy into a service economy. While “manufacturing” jobs HAVE steadily increased for the last two years, it’s hardly been a surge, and THAT is corporate responsibility keeping growth slow, not “government”.

Those supporting the “right” and corporations taking over have proven time and again they’ve earned a title known in the disabled community: “deaf blind”.

Leave it to a Republican to gloss over a trillion dollar war, but become incensed over carpet cleaning and painting touch up on the White House.

Administering one further blow to the deceased equine:Accounts that departing Clinton administration officials destroyed office equipment and committed other acts of vandalism in the White House during the presidential transition were significantly overblown, a manager at the General Accounting Office, the investigative arm of Congress, said today.

The General Services Administration, which is sometimes referred to as the government’s landlord, found nothing unusual about the condition of White House offices after Clinton officials left, and Bush staff members said they had no records that indicated damage or subsequent repair work, the G.A.O. official said.

The official, Bernie Ungar, director of physical infrastructure issues at the agency, said that inquiries he made at the request of Representative Bob Barr, Republican of Georgia, led him to conclude that Clinton officials might have engaged in pranks during the transition but did not cause major damage.

‘’My sense is there probably was some phones pulled, or whatever; I don’t have a way to determine that,‘’ Mr. Ungar said, referring to accounts that office lines had been cut. ’’But there wasn’t indication of real, significant, widespread damage.’’http://www.nytimes.com/2001/05/19/us/white-house-vandalism-caper-was-overblown-a-report-finds.html

“And if Salon quotes a (expletive) like Anthony Weiner saying it didn’t happen, then that’s the end of the story. It didn’t happen.”

So when Bob Barr says it happened without a shred of evidence then it really did happen. Go figure.
