Hopeless. Without Crystal who would take care of Tiffany?

Dang- I actually am one of the first to comment – not that I really care – it’s just such a novelty, Maybe that means I’m one of the few that will be at Tiffany’s screening – not that I care…

Umm… Why does Tiffany think she’s popular if she only has one friend? Luann has way more, yet everyone thinks Tiffany is the more popular one.

Well, she’s certainly playing the part of a major movie star…

Huh, well I don’t exactly see Crystal having any other friends besides Tiffany. I guess Knute, but they don’t exactly hang out on a daily basis and it’s been almost a year since they’ve shared a panel. So I think she’s acting kind of smug for someone in the same boat as Tiffany.

Now, if the manager carefully doesn’t announce publicly that it’s a special screening for Friends of Tiffany, he might draw a reasonably full house anyway!

GOOD News, BAD News, today:

The GOOD News is that because Tiffany has only ONE friend, that ONLY one person she’ll be PUBLICLY humilated in front of when its found out that Tiff is NO WHERE In THAT Movie.

The BAD News? That Locker in Panel 2? THAT ain’t Tiffany’s Locker…,

It’s kind of sad how Tiff only has one friend.

Do you suppose Tiff’s scenes will have landed on the cutting room floor?

Crystal admits to being Tiff’s friend. All this goes right over Tiff’s head, but the commitment does exist and when Tiff goes down in flames, Crystal will be there for her. Two slightly odd characters, forming a bond that one might not even realize: I think its nice.

Crystal hasn’t been her “friend” in a long time. All she does is try to bring Tiffany (and everyone else) down. I think it’s a testament to Tiffany’s optimism and enthusiasm that she hasn’t let Crystal talk her into giving up yet. Also, if it had been Luann that had participated in a feature film, the whole damn town would be congratulating her and lining up to watch the .5 seconds of her onscreen-time, instead of trying to make her feel bad. Yes, Tiffany is blonde and (like many teens) a little self-centered, but she’s shown more positive ambition and actual joy for life than most anyone else in the strip. But she’s the designated “villain,” so she’s punished for it, and instead of anyone being happy or excited for her, we get an entire week of Crystal telling her how stupid she is. Hmm.

Well, Crystal isn’t always that mean to Luann anymore than when they first met…… Tiffany would probably invite Luann and her friends so she can gloat in their faces, Crystal (her only friend), the football team because she thinks she’s so hot, and Quill because she WISHES he was interested in her and not Luann.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Tiffany is getting more pitiable as time goes on? She is NOT going to have a happy life.

In the real world – a very few women like Tif make it somewhere on their own. A few more marry someone who make them think they made it, at least until the first divorce. The vast majority end up in a trailer park in Hooterville somewhere. So it’s sad.

Love the contrast. The blond, colorful, ditzy blond and the dark, cynical goth. It’s like Marilyn Monroe and the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

At least when Luann is deluding herself, Bern seems to have an easier job bringing her back to reality. Perhaps that’s cause most of Luann’s problems are self created. As for Tiff; as far as she is concerned, she has no problems.

My son was hired with hundreds of others to be in crowd scenes of Die Hard II. He said that he worked for 2 days and later found out where he would appear. So we watched several times on the DVD and FINALLY saw him. He took up half of the screen as he flashed by – about 1.5 seconds. But now, every time I watch it, I can find him because I know what to look for. Good Luck, Tiff, on finding yourself on the first run through – you may have to have the manager play it 4-5 times. Hope your “friends” don’t get impatient.

U have a feeling that her “fence in a crowd” was cut of the movie. LOL

How do Crystal and Tiffany know each other? I think Crystal was introduced for the first time over a summer at the pool simply as Tiffany’s friend. (When Luann was a cashier and ended up jumping in to save Tiffany from drowning). Then Crystal started Pitt High that fall. No background on the friendship. Maybe they have been friends since pre-school and it just doesn’t occur to them NOT to be friends.

Again, EASY.
