Actually my ‘spidey sense’ is tingling on this. I dunno for sure (and I’m probably lamely wrong) but I don’t think he’s in trouble. This could be good.

Don’t know about ‘spidey sense’, but my butt is tingling as it does whenever I think I’m in big trouble. Probably a leftover from my childhood spankings… :-\

If he didn’t get caught, he’d never learn that what he did was truly wrong. Getting away with it works both ways, and getting away with it teaches nothing. Saying I’m sorry, but I did this, is how to get rid of the guilt and learn the lesson.

I think Mike’s gonna learn a very valuable lesson.

I’m with Aaron on this…I’m thinking the person who wants a word with him may commend him on realizing that what he did was wrong, and taking the steps to make it right. He should be in some trouble, but he also needs to know that bringing the scarf back was a good move.

They think they’ll be in trouble, but the storeperson will instead tell them they did the right thing. Happy ending. You all know it’s gonna happen.

Remember when 8-track tape players were the rage? I worked at Motorola at the time, and one lady got busted trying to sneak one out of the plant. Upon questioning, they learned that she had successfully sneaked it out earlier, but it had a problem and she brought it back in for repair!

SPOILER ALERT: (Ok, just what I THINK is gonna happen) He’s gonna get a stern talking to for stealing it, but no punishment because his conscience made him bring it back.
