Yeah, because all straight males always go after any woman who throws herself at them, no matter how obnoxious or stupid they are. It’s impossible to resist them because straight men have no taste or discrimination. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Don’t get so uptight, Luann. It’s not like you and Quill are dating. You’ve worked very hard to make sure that doesn’t happen. You’re more of a fire-person than Brad. The second any embers of romance have started to ignite between you and Quill, you stomp them out.

I wonder if Quill will show up at the shooting of Zeye, and they offer a part to the good looking Aussie – maybe playing opposite Tiff. This could get wild.

TJ dated Tiffany and we all know how he turned out after that.

Quill is pushing Luanns’ buttons in order to find out how she feels about him. She plays her cards close to the vest with Quill. He wants a little reaction.

To me, today’s strip shows that there has been an ongoing relationship between Quill and LuAnn. Their life went on while we were concentrating on Brad, Toni, Ann an TJ.

So, an interesting twist now. Do you suppose we’ll follow Quill and Tiff to L.A.? Or perhaps…Luann will somehow be given a chance to follow along…courtesy of our favorite mini-Elvis :)

My take is that Luann still aches over the loss or Aaron Hill moving to Hawaii and that heartache keeps her from developing an attraction to Quill who will move back to Australia someday. But that resistance is a problem because her heart draws her to Quill. It’s the lack of resolution that is tearing her apart. Today, she is sensing that Quill is not attracted to Tiffany – who is making a play for him – but somebody (like Crystal?) else might have success in developing a romantic relationship with him. That would devastate her – so she’s “not feeling better.”

Quill is not gay for cryn out load folks. He is saying he has the ability to resist the strength to resist. GGGGGGGSSSSSS you folks have something wrong with you.

Perhaps not – but it’s probably an underlying issue with Luann.

@Zac, there is a difference between being “confident” and “full of himself”. I like to think Quill is just kidding Luann to pull her chain, and he has tried to make himself clear to Tiff. Maybe he can make a last minute seat (or even flight) change so he can travel in peace with the ear plugs.

I had a male co-worker who managed to get the room next to mine when we traveled to Mexico. He did not speak Spanish so I just told the desk clerk to change my room and to not give the number to the guy (done). Previous trip he was a pest calling and knocking at all hours; I’m small but he angered me so I picked him up and threw him out.

Way to go Mate. (grin)

Waiting for Quill to invite Luann to come along to LA to visit his uncle over X-Mas

Quill is into girls, and that’s why he enjoys teasing Luann. It’s his way of showing that he likes her and not Tiffany.

I have to tell you, you really don’t need to ’fess up to thinking about it, we already know that!

Somehow, Tiff is going to get a picture of her and Quill kissing, and send it to Luann. She could even ask Quill to help her rehearse a scene, It’s gonna happen.

Mojitobaby, came on late and glad to hear that you were basically censored. I was disappointed in your post about “all men” because I usually look forward to your rapier wit. Now I know it’s not really what you had posted and can continue to enjoy your insightful comments. Are you a law student?

That was sort of a compliment Luann.

Luann liks Quill and is feeling insecure. Quill likes to toy with other peoples’ emotions, and enjoys needling Luann. He, like most men, will keep this sophomore mentality until he is about 30 years old, when suddenly, someone presses the maturity button.

If I was still in the military, I’d take Tiffany to the Marine Ball (even though that wasn’t the branch I was in) . I know, I know I’m a sick man, but wouldn’t she rattle their sabers?

Most of it’s due to that artificial time constraint – to be fair, Greg can only bring his teenagers along so far before they just grow off the edge of the Luanniverse. Luann will never graduate, so any “evolution” she undergoes at Pitts will probably have to be undone and redone – because if Greg takes this any further we’ll be watching middle aged Rotarians prepping for SATs.

Let’s face it, no one’s interested in seeing someone with the emotional maturity of their mom in high school. “Strangers With Candy” has already been done.

I have a good feeling she is going to have a BIG let down. She will be some one in the background instaed of being the center of the ad.

I dunno if it has to be “major” – I was thinking something as simple as Luann thinking Quill kissed Tiffany and there was more to their journey to LA than just a shared plane ride.

Since she’s been so invovement-phobic and so obsessed with not “getting hurt” because he’ll eventually leave for Oz, I can see her tellling him she really can’t trust him as a boyfriend and they shouldn’t be involved at all. Ironically, it’d be her own lack of trust that would derail the relationship.

Ironically, Greg thought his audience would be teenagers, specifically young girls (which is why he thought he was tapping an underrepresenting market with this strip) – but it ain’t! It’s older readers, not teenagers. Maybe he figures a lot of us are senile and he can keep on repeating a lot of stuff and devolving the characters when it suits him? >P

I agree that we don’t want to see Luann et al aged to current time. It is bad enough that actual people we admired in our youth are ageing (or worse- dead). At least since Ken Russell died last week, I found a great discussion group where we are sharing more of his work. I can totally relate Luann and her group to my own grandkids.

I don’t ever compete with another woman for a guy’s attention. I bet he’d like that, wouldn’t he, feeling like he’s so desirable.

Don’t get why Luann cares. They really don’t have a relationship.
