Incipient stalker?

On the blog, I think the sign on the right is trying to tell us there’s an elevator specifically for wheelchair users. It’s doing a bad job of it, however, as it shows the wheelchair outside the presumed elevator.

Maybe it means, “The bathroom for gay men is next to the guy sitting in a bean bag chair reading a book.”

His motive is perfectly clear, sweetheart—just not to you. He may even be jealous, in a way, of your past!

If his motive was clear would his behavior still be strange?If it is, then, that would be unsettling.

Re: Nick Vujicic…he’s a truly inspirational fellow and, if you’re an amputee who’s feeling sorry for yourself, he’ll definitely give you something to think about! In addition to being a motivational speaker, he’s also not a bad actor…if you can track down a short film called “The Butterfly Circus,” it’s worth a watch to see him play a part that’s definitely “made for him.”

The man with clear motives wants you to repeat the past.

Simple Pleasure: leaving my phone in my car when I get home from work and ignoring the world to read a book and nap without interruption.

Gazing at Jupiter in the early morning sky. Such a hot guy! But I know, appearances can be deceiving.

Simple pleasures: Looking at a beautiful face, like Anne Francis, Tuesday Weld, Catherine Deneuve, Catherine Zeta Jones…I could go on. How can there be so many beautiful faces so different from each other?

A big bowl of popcorn just before bedtime, or a chunk of Dubliner cheese any time. Best of all may be opening a new book.

Maybe the best of all is when my Siamese tries to get my attention off the laptop screen and onto her, and she pats me on the cheek with her paw.

Simple Pleasures: Sitting out on the deck at dusk, listening to the song of the forest.

Simple pleasures: sitting on my porch sipping coffee as the sun rises or beer as the sun sets; the smell of stuff I have just cooked and/or baked when I return home from a short bike ride; the feeling while playing a piece of music perfectly; a good belly laugh.

What’s unsettling is that most men behave strangely with no clear motive…

Besides diving my hands into the pinto bean bin at the grocery store, my favorite simple pleasure is lighting candles.

There is anecdotal evidence of the name Scheveningen being used as a shibboleth during World War II to identify German spies: They would pronounce the initial “Sch” differently from Dutch native speakers.

I never stayed in a pod hotel in the Netherlands, but I recall staying on a “barge qua hostel” there one night while hitchhiking around Europe. Got ripped out of my mind, if I recall correctly.
