How fitting. The party that refuses to admit climate change actually is human-influenced is about to cook the nation’s goose while they bake in that brick oven of a Congress.

Hey, THERE’s an idea… turn off the AC and force them to pass a debt ceiling increase with no conditions before it gets turned back on!

Harleyquinn: Take a nap. But first, try to recall how the reality-deniers tried to call global warming a hoax because it was snowing.

Snow in winter proves global warming is false! Record temperatures, on land, and in the oceans, is PROOF the planet is actually cooling! The climate change models are proving far more accurate than any argument from “deniers”, so they just distort, or ignore, or flat lie about the evidence. It’s really hilarious to think that the concerted, more than decade long propaganda campaign by Mobil had less funding than “science institutions” and grant programs.

Let’s see…the climate deniers (1) say it doesn’t exist, which is demonstrably untrue, then try to (2) attribute it to single causes, which no one says, (3) use arguments where they malign Al Gore, who is not a climatologist, (4) and claim the whole thing is politicized. Yes, it is — by the right wing IN THIS COUNTRY. Elsewhere in the world the conservative parties are enacting laws to try and act against global warming. We are the only major country in the world to have a party whose fundamental platform denies the reality of anthropogenic global warming. The only one. So who’s politicizing it? Are you really claiming that the Swiss are left-wing radicals? The Austrlan right? C’mon!

Screw science, what I BELIEVE is true and no amount of “facts” will change that!

I have a friend who works for NOAA, and he refuses to discuss weather or climate change in any form.Except when a hurricane or tropical storm approaches I get the official scoop on what is happening with that storm.I believe global warming is a fact, caused by humans, and won’t affect me because I have no kids and will not live to see the rest of you suffering.

vortex, you’ve just demonstrated my point #2 (single causes), though in fact you are wrong — the “hockey stick” has actually not only been demonstrated, it has been discovered again and again over a dozen times in different categories of data.
