Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for December 12, 1989
Transcript:
Calvin: I hate this time of year. I've got to be good for two more weeks if I want any goodies this Christmas! I'll never make it. I try to be good! I do! My heart is as pure as driven snow! It's just that, well, sometimes events beyond my control conspire against me! I'm usually an innocent bystand...hey, I say you roll your eyes! So you don't believe me, eh?! Hobbes: Me?? Calvin: By golly, each of your eyes will be rolling toward the other when I'm through with you! Hobbes: Ha! I hope you asked Santa for some crutches!

Imagine how that would look like from a persons perspective, a six year old beating the bleeep out a stuffed animal out in the street…
I thinks that Calvin might have an underlying psychological disorder.

“I don’t know what’s weirder… that you’re fighting a stuffed animal, or that you seem to be losing.”

Being good is hard—Calvin only has to do it for 30 seconds before it falls apart.

Calvin’s heart is as black as a hundred shadows and Hobbes loves to piss me off for his own amusement.
