Great use of futuristic, but possible, technology. I think they have to “forget” to use something like this occasionally, else it becomes the hero that gets them out of every spot. We want Tracy’s courage and resourcefulness to be the solution to their dilemmas. I’m sure good story-telling will give us plenty of that, with the Geni helping out once in a while.
Oh I’m reading so many positive things about the newly revived Dick Tracy! And let’s hope Richard (Dick) Tracy, Sam, Lizz, and Junior use this new technology unlike the wrist genie that was seldom used in the waining years of the Locher era!
About 5 years ago at an electronics show in Vegas someone was showing a computer that would project a picture of the the key board on a table top and one could type on these pictures and it would show on the monitor what you were typing.. Maybe that is where this idea came from and modernized with a minature size computer on a finger.
I feel as if I am 11 years old again. Reading about the space coupe, Honeymoon and Diet Smith. The art work is sensational. One question; will there still be a need for the pig on wheels?
This strikes me as two steps forward, one step back. Great idea, but a lithium battery? Why not solar powered with a battery back-up? Otherwise, I will reserve judgment until I have seen it in action (though it sounds as if it has much potential)

I’m still in awe, on a daily basis, of how good this strip has become.

Good morning all…
I had to see what the wrist wizard was all about!
Bill Thompson almost 13 years ago
So it will also project an image? That sounds easier on the eyes than an image on a wristwatch-sized display.
Vista Bill Raley and Comet™ almost 13 years ago
OK, margueritem, I can’t identify your avatar…

Good Morning Bill and everyone else…..
Now, let’s see how the wrist wizard willbe used in the upcoming stories.
Too bad Tracy didn’t have this when he and Mordred were stuck in the storm of the century.

Dorian, it’s probably the same people who payed for the 2 way wrist Radios, TVs, Computers, etc. over the years!
heligmyer almost 13 years ago
I wonder if it comes in a Wi-Fi only model?
pathamil almost 13 years ago
They could call it the Palm Pilot… oh, wait… that’s already been used.
Rod Gonzalez almost 13 years ago
We’re looking at the sucessor of the 2-way wrist radio/tv here. . . .

Virtual keyboards are the latest sci-fi tool. Author David Drake has made extensive use of them in his RCN book series.

Good to see Diet Smith is still doing his Edison schtick. Loved the nod to Smith’s tech battlecry from the 60s.
