And thus you have such confusion in the midst of today’s strip due to the fact that by present day standatds, a story must take place over a much shorter amount of time than those of the Gould eta. If it had been done in a story which was allowed to be played out for several mouths, I’m sure it would have been made clesrer!
If this would have been a Gouldian story, Tracy would have been wracked beyond belief! He would have been torn up, placed in the hospital for a few weeks and then recuperated. I remember when he was starved by Shoulders, he lost so much weight he didn’t get to looking like himself for weeks!
I myself enjoy the return of the cast of regular villains! You can’t keep a good villain down and I’m sure that Gould later regretted killing off some of the more famous ones such as Flattop and The Brow.
