The Republicans haven’t really said or done anything except that they want to prevent a second term for Obama. If the ones that have announced or are going to announce it will be tough for them to succeed.
Businesses will grow when there’s more demand from people who have good jobs, and if the private sector is stuck, the public must step in. But we can’t because that will get the label of “socialism” which is (for some reason) a dirty word.
I’ve worked for many charities and I find the conservatives are much more giving than liberals are. It is just that Liberals tend to showboat what they give and the Conservatives tend to quietly give. Capitalism is the best system…if you don’t want to work, you starve. If you are willing to work, you prosper. Socialism just sucks the life out of everyone. Socialists never offer their money, the just offer everyone Else’s money. If you like Socialism, move to North Korea!
That’s not an answer to his question. If a desire for a basic safety net for people who want to work, but can’t find a job means I’m a “socialist,” Then I am a socialist. If you believe a person should be allowed to starve because they legitimately cannot find work, I curse your lack of humanity.
You mean the Republicans to worked to prevent the passing of the bill that would penalize companies who moved jobs overseas? Yes, I think they share some of the blame along with corporations and consumers.
Grandpa doesn’t know the meaning of the word except in the context of what the right wing talking heads tell him it is. No need to get worked up over someone who was allegedly a liberal (cause if he was he would not be using that word).
