Don’t chew on the bat, Snoopy—chew on Linus!

You asked for it, Linus. I hope Snoopy had his rabies shots.

I love the dirty look that Snoopy gives Linus before he starts chasing him. Yes, you’d BETTER run, Linus!

Linus should use the bat on Lucy. The mad little biddy has plenty of rocks in her head.

Of course Snoopy wants a bite—of Linus! But nobody stopped to ask Lucy why the heck she was pounding on rocks? What is that about? It’s not like she could break them with a baseball bat. But then “logic” and “Lucy” never did rhyme.

Unless my eyes deceive me, it appears the answer balloon above Snoopy’s head is a picture of Lucy.

Growing up next to a vacant lot I hit a lot of rocks with my “Al Kaline” bat…After that, hitting a baseball would impart a nice spin to the ball..kinda like the dimples on a golf ball only in reverse..

I agree with you, in the long run it’s because of what Lucy did that Linus thought that Snoopy chewed on his new bat. Snoopy should be chasing after Lucy. If it’s okay with you allow me to expand on your headline: “Obstinate, Arrogant, Irritating Girl Chewed and Bludgeoned to Death.”

If she doesn’t like baseball, why would Lucy even want to hit rocks with a bat?Lucy must be bitten, Snoopy.

By the amount of marks shown on the bat, I am surprised that Ms. Bigmouth could even hit that many!!

Linus is just being green. He’s converting a used baseball bat into a dog’s toy.

I don’t condone Lucy taking Linus’s bat and bashing rocks with it, but, think about it — she could have used the bat to bash on Linus rather than rocks. So, consider this the better alternative. Linus should not have assumed the marks on the bat were teeth marks without doing some further probing seeing he tends to be the investigative type anyway.

Snoopy got 2 write-in votes in the 1964 elections. Looks like he still has the gumption to run again in 2012. GO SNOOPY!

Yes, Falcon, I know that. I’ve been reading Peanuts for almost half a century.
